As you're outlining your book, write the first and last sentences of your chapters. They won't be set in stone, of course, but it gives you a little more map.
#2-- Feeling your Characters
a) Make a playlist of songs for each of your characters. When they start to feel flat or stale, listen to the playlist.
b) Write an adventure for your character outside of your story. You probably won't use it, but it helps you practice maneuvering your character.
