Writing Prompt

Using the book closest to you, turn to page 102 and look at the 3 line. whatever sentence is on that line Use as a writing prompt for your book.

I did it and this is what i got:
"Your knowledge of how the world works makes it possible for you to live, eat, hold a job, get a spouse, start a family, have friends, throw a party, celebrate holidays, travel, write a will, file a lawsuit, and get protection from your enemies."
(its pretty good considering it came from Writing Fiction For Dummies.)

  1. :D Ha ha ha! I did this and got:
11 "Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, to be praised with awe in praises, doing wonders."
Very inspiring, but not what you would typically write about. ;)

  2. The book closest to me when I read that was a Scouting requirements booklet (Gahg) here's what it said on page 102 the third line down:

"Caving Practice and Equipment-David Judson, editor, British Cave Research Association, 1995."

How do you write about that? Can I try again!?!?

  3. I chose to select the first book I saw on my bookshelf. This is the result:
"These guys are players. No player likes getting played."
From, The Candy Shop War: Arcade Catastrophe

What do you think? Is it a good enough prompt? :)
